Our Philosophy
  Our Philosophy
Being a multilingual, multicultutal Catholic educational institution dedicated to serving the academic, spiritual, social, and psychological needs of students from Pre-K to Grade 12, OLGIS strives to foster a respect for the talents, abilities, sincere beliefs, wholesome visions, and goals of all people regardless of race, gender, religion or socioeconomic background.
Our curriculum emphasizes the liberal arts and it is revised on a regular basis so as to best prepare our students not only for higher education at top universities worldwide but also for a lifetime of learning. We have adopted the Advanced Placement (AP) program in our Upper School to give our students a unique education that enables them to think critically and independently and to drive their own learning. Our students become better global citizens through the development of at least one foreign language and cultural immersion.
Learning at OLGIS takes different forms. In addition to the traditional academic classroom setting, learning also takes place in social settings, on the athletic fields, during spiritual and emotional intelligence development exercises, and through required social service. These various learning situations foster interpersonal relationships, increase community awareness, build a sense of teamwork, and sustain commitment to others.
